Why windshield is important?
Windshield is the front glass of a vehicle and so it is very necessary to ensure that the windshield is an original glass
and free from damage .Windshields are of 2 types - tempered and laminated. The difference between them lies in more than
their physical difference. Sometimes it also becomes the dividing line between life and death.Tempered glass breaks down
into small bits causing injury to the person and cannot be repaired. It is used mainly for side windows and rear glass.
Laminated windshield is safer as it is made up of two sheets of glass with an interlayer of Polyvinyl Butyral (PVB), which
prevents it from breaking into small particles. When an accident occurs, there will be only localized breakage of the windshield
so that the vision of the driver will not be disturbed . So only a laminated windshield is safe, as it does not shatter on impact.
